Jesse and Joel are twin brothers who are rapidly gaining a lot of attention within the entertainment world in Ghana. They have become a sensation and just know how to entertain. They dance and teach dance, rap and sing. Above all, they are professionally trained models and the fact that they are twins increases their appeal and visibility.
News-One caught up with them for a one-on-one recently at the Accra Shopping Mall.
How can one tell which one is Joel and which one is Jesse?
Joel: Not much difference apart from the fact that my brother is a Muslim and am Christian. But we are all nice.
Jesse: Oh yeah, that is the greatest difference. I converted to Islam and go by the name Hassan Walid Mohammed. I believe in being at peace with my brother and being at peace with Allah and I like the Islamic religion.
Why the religious difference?
Joel: Actually, I like Islam too but we decided that one should become a Muslim and one remain a Christian so we can promote religious tolerance and peaceful co-existence. I mean, just look at what is happening in Nigeria where reports say the Boko Haram group is actually slaughtering Christians. They have waited until religious intolerance resulted in a series of arson attacks. It can happen in Ghana too because if you see your brother’s beard on fire, you quickly put yours in a glass of water. That is why we have…
Jesse: (interrupts)…Oh you do not put your beard in a glass of water; you rather jump into a swimming pool.
Joel: Yeah, so that is why we have decided to belong to two different religions yet worship one God and live in love and at peace with each other and we use ourselves as examples for others to follow. Ghana should start preaching religious tolerance now so it becomes part of us.
Jesse: Yeah, we need that unity. When I am having my ablution, my brother waits for me and when he grabs his bible, I also watch him and admire him and sometimes I say amen when he prays in the morning.
Do you confuse people with your looks?
Joel: A lot.
Jesse: Even my mum. There are times we decide to have the same hair cut, wear the same clothes and just sit without saying anything. She gets confused. And even when we look at our childhood album, we ourselves get confused on who is Panyin and who is Kakra but our current photos are different. We can easily tell the difference.
How did you become models?
Jesse: That was around 2007. We met Selassie Banini at Tema Community 11 having rehearsals with some models and he invited us to join the rehearsals and that was how we reached this far. We went from one training session to another. Selassie Banini was an inspiration. He saw potential in us; he saw a future in us.
Joel: But I was not interested at all because I did not like the impression people had about male models and I just did not like the way they moved. But he encouraged me. He said at the beginning people would not respect us but we should just concentrate and the same people would one day ask for our autographs.
What type of models are you?
Jesse: We are freelance models and we fit in all categories of modeling. There is no aspect of modeling we have not been professionally trained for. Be it fashion modeling, bikini modeling, runway modeling, fitness modeling, arts modeling, advertising modeling , alternative modeling or what have you, we are ready to kill it.
Why are you freelance models?
Joel: We have had all the training and grooming and we do not see why we should join any agency and tie ourselves to that agency. Though we have a very good rapport with some modeling agencies and hit their runways when need be, we prefer to be on our own because we are looking beyond Ghana. We have a passion for the international stage and we believe we would reach there soon.
Have you regretted being models?
Jesse: Never. And we would never regret it. Modeling is beautiful and from us people would learn that it is about being sexy all the time for people to admire.
Joel: In Ghana, our industry is still developing so I can’t blame people for having a certain perception about models. But the fact is that modeling is a big industry in the developed world and Ghana would understand someday.
What should people look out for from you two?
Jesse: Hmm, I have a believe that very soon Ghana would boast of super star international models and we would be on that register when the names are being called. We would lift the flag of this country high one day. We would do this to encourage all the upcoming models out there who are holding back their talents just because they still feel timid.
Joel: You see, we do not only do modeling; we rap, we sing, we dance, we act, we entertain, so I can say Ghana should expect to be entertained. We are twins and would soon make Ghana proud. Believe in us and just wait.

Why Prez Mills Hands Are Black

Specialist doctors attending to the health of President Atta Mills are reported to have expressed worry over his darkened palms which were caused by some medication they recommended to him.

A deputy Minister of Information, Samuel Okudzeto-Ablakwa, has explained that the doctors did not know that the colour of the President's palms would transform as a result of the medication and they have expressed worry over the matter.

The President's palms, in recent times, have become black, heightening speculations about his state of health.

Though, Mr. Okudzeto-Ablakwa would not tell which medication the President has been put on and which ailment he was being treated for, he said the 'medication' was given to him by his doctors.

"I have seen it and when I inquired about it, he explained to me that he took a medication and he reacted that negatively.

"His doctor was quite worried but he told him it doesn't matter. Some people take some medication and the reaction worsens their cases and they are sometimes hospitalized, but this was quite a minimal reaction.

"The doctors did not know that he would react that way to the medication but what is important is that it has not affected his movements, body system and his thought process.He is presently in Abuja with his colleague heads of state discussing the Ivorian crisis and how there can be some lasting solution.Over the weekend, he was even at the Farmers' Day celebration so everything is going on well with him," Okudzeto-Ablakwa told Fiifi Banson, host of Peace FM's 'Ekwanso Brebre' on Peace Fm on Tuesday.

"The president is well, as he has always said it is the good Lord who grants us good health but he is very strong and stable.He has been given a clean bill of health by all the doctors who have looked at him and he is going about his normal duties.

"It will amaze you he still wakes up at 4:30am every day and he does exercise and he is a very fit man. I can assure you he is still the good sportsman we have always known.

'The president's palms are black because he reacted to some medication that he takes and if you talk to doctors, they will confirm to you that we all react in different forms depending on what medication you take.

"We can assure the good people of this country that there is nothing serious that is affecting the president, and it is just the little reaction which has even reduced compared to two weeks ago. Doctors have assured him that they didn't know he will react that way to the medication," he added.

The issue of the President's darkened palms has become topical in many circles and several speculations made about what might have caused it.

It was noticed during the visit of Equatorial Guinea's President's to Ghana a couple of months ago.

NDC Boss In Motorbikes Scandal

The Daily Guide newspaper has discovered that the Customs, Excise and Preventive Service (CEPS) is allegedly releasing confiscated motorbikes and cars to some constituency chairmen of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for distribution to selected party members and foot-soldiers.

While one of such NDC chairmen is in trouble for having received six of such motorbikes but keep them as hispersonal property, Daily Guide has seen a couple of documents in which government has allegedly written to the CEPS Commissioner that some more motorbikes should be released for NDC party work.

The NDC Chairman for Dome Kwabenya constituency, Alhaji Abdul Basit Mohammed, who was recently given six of such motorbikes purposely for party work, is currently being chased by his party members after reports went round that he had sold all six bikes and pocketed the money.

When Daily Guide contacted Alhaji Basit Mohammed, he confessed that it was the Municipal Chief Executive of the Ga East Municipal Assembly, John Quao Sackey, who gave him a letter to be delivered to the CEPS Commissioner so six motorbikes would be released to him for party work.

Alhaji Basit explained however that he did not give the bikes to the party because he had imported some six motorbikes but they got sized by CEPS officials so the Municipal Chief Executive forged the said letter for him so he could use it to get back his seized bikes.
The chairman said it was the same imported bikes that were confiscated that were eventually released to him so there was no sense in releasing them to the party. He promised to provide some documents to show that indeed he had imported some six motorbikes but they got confiscated by CEPS officials.

The NDC chairman conceded that though the wording of the letter said the bikes were to be used for party work, that information as only put there by John Quao Sackey to help him clear his seized bikes.
The letter that was addressed to the CEPS Commissioner was written on the official letterhead to the Ga East Municipal Assembly and signed by its Chief Executive on January 12, 2010.

It reads: “Request for the allocation of motorbikes. The Dome Kwabenya Constituency is a new constituency and therefore lacks facilities to enable it achieve growth and developmental programmes successfully. “Our main hindrance is transportation. We shall be grateful if you can allocate us with six (6) of the confiscated motorbikes for use in the constituency. “Alhaji Abdul Basit Mohammed is the Chairman of eh constituency and responsible for social affairs in the Constituency who will use the bikes for the benefit of the constituency.

“We have also discussed this with the Chairman of the Council of State Professor Kofi Awoonor. We count on your co-operation.”
Though Alhaji Basit Mohammed is insisting the letter was only forged to help him clear his personal bikes, Daily Guide’s checks for CEPS show that such an arrangement would have been criminal.
“When you import motorbikes, there is an amount of money you pay on it and it is higher than what you pay when seized bikes are being sold to you on allocation. What you are saying means that the person used the forged letter to invade tax on his seized bikes and that is equally criminal on his part just as whoever forged the letter for him,” CEPS sources explained.

Further checks from the Council of State revealed that Prof. Kofi Awoonor was not even aware his name was being used to clear confiscated motorbikes for selected chairmen of the NDC.

Muntaka Probe Letter- The Facts

Spokespersons of the Mills Government yesterday hopped from one radio station to other denying a DAILY GUIDE report that President John Evans Atta Mills has ordered fresh investigation into the controversial $20,000 Alhaji Muhammed Muntaka Mubarak is alleged to have pocketed when he was Minister for Youth and Sports.

Alhaji Muntaka himself also told the media that the DAILY GUIDE report was an old investigation and not a fresh one.

However, DAILY GUIDE's checks revealed that indeed, the Civil Service Council, acting on the directive of President Mills, has opened fresh investigations into the matter and what the spokespersons of government and Alhaji Muntaka told the media yesterday was not the truth.

While Alhaji Muntaka claimed the DAILY GUIDE story was a rehash of an old investigations, the paper can confirm that he was not speaking the truth because barely a week ago, precisely on Wednesday October 17, 2010, the Civil Service Council sent out official information that they had been directed to constitute a fact-finding committee for the purpose of uncovering the mystery surrounding the 'missing' $20,000.

Indeed, the very first person the committee would meet with over the matter was Alhaji Abdulai Yakubu and that meeting was scheduled for Tuesday November 23, 2010. Alhaji Muntaka himself has been ordered to appear before the committee on Wednesday December 8, 2010 at exactly 11:30 am.

The Civil Service Council has also ordered all officers who worked at the Sports Ministry and had any dealings with finances during the period Alhaji Muntaka was there to appear before the newly-constituted fact-finding committee.

The invited officers include Alhaji Muntaka himself, Rashid Pelpuo; Deputy Majority Leader of Parliament and a former Minister of Sports,Â Prosper Apasu; the Chief Accountant, Shelter James Ocloo; Internal Auditor, Albert Ampong, Adim Odoom, Ebenezer Lomotey, Charles Aryeh,Â and Clement Aku.

The letter inviting the above persons was signed by the Secretary of the Civil Service Council, Noah Tumfo, on behalf on the Chairman of the Civil Service Council, Dr Robert Dodoo.

DAILY GUIDE has also gathered that the committee is chaired by Dr. Robert Dodoo; Milly Quansah, Justice E.D.K. Adjabeng ; all members of the Council and W.K Kemevor; the Acting Head of Civil Service.

Messrs Albert Ampong and Adim Odoom, who were then respectively Chief Director and Principal Accountant at the Sports Ministry, have already explained and insisted that the $20,000 was given to Alhaji Muntaka, aside other huge amounts of money that unlawfully went to him.

This new order for an investigation comes as a surprise because the missing money had already been investigated by National Security on the orders of the Presidency and detailed reports submitted to President Mills who asked Muntaka to resign. President Mills also asked for the interdiction of the two officers, Albert Ampong and Adim Odoom.

Whether by coincidence or by someone's machinations, this latest order for another investigations into the matter comes just after government was ordered by the courts to re-instate Messrs Albert Ampong and Adim Odoom to their original positions, after they were wrongly interdicted and given half of their salary for months.

Health Minister Betrays NHIS

The Health Minister, Dr. Benjamin Kumbuor, has made known his lack of faith in the ability of the Mills-led National Democratic Congress (NDC) government to run a one-time premium payment for the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS).

The disclosure comes at a time Sylvester Mensah, Chief Executive of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), has confirmed reports that the NHIS stands the danger of folding up as there would be no more funds to run the scheme by the year 2013 if government does not find ways of generating more revenue for it.

Dr. Kumbuor, speaking during his Ministry’s turn at the ‘Meet the Press’ series, said he was compelled to say that the one-time premium was workable because it was a government policy and since he was a part of government, he had to support the issue.

Dr. Kumbuor noted, “It would work…I have raised both hands and legs to show you that it would work and I am saying this because they are playing a drum and I am only dancing to it; when they stop playing the drum and I am still dancing, someone should tap me and say they have stopped playing the drum.”

The Health Minister then explained that despite his original position, government had explained that the amount of money currently being collected as premium constituted a paltry three and a half percent of the NHIS budget, thus its contribution was insignificant.

But DAILY GUIDE can confirm that the health scheme is crumbling and the NHIA, its administrator, has tried in vain to get government to accept the true state of affairs and do something about it.

Sources at the Seat of Government told DAILY GUIDE that on Monday, November 14, the Vice President chaired a Cabinet meeting at the Castle and one of the issues that came up was how to generate additional revenue to sustain the NHIA but the Health Minister appeared rather unconcerned about the subject.

“There were a couple of suggestions on board and what the NHIA suggested was that we raised the NHIS levy from 2.5 percent to 3.5 percent but the sector Minister was not ready to push that proposal so it was not included in the budget and this raised a lot of tempers but every Minister has his Ministry and no one could speak for NHIA when the Health Minister was not the least concerned,” the Castle source noted.

As the situation stands now, the one-time premium payment as promised by the Evans Atta Mills government would remain a mirage as the NHIS itself would have no choice but to fold up by 2013 due to lack of funds.

Before the budget was read, confidential documents sighted by DAILY GUIDE revealed that the NHIA Board of Directors had met over dangers being faced by the scheme, and forwarded to Cabinet a couple of recommendations on how to sustain the facility, with the most plausible suggestion being to increase the 2.5 percent NHIS levies to 3.5 percent from January 2011.

The said Board Member explained further, “As you can see, year by year our expenditure keeps escalating, given that more people subscribe to the scheme and the cost of medication has gone up, but our revenue is not expanding and we cannot sustain the trend…in 2004 we had just about 1.3 million subscribers but currently we are a little over 17 million and we may have to fold up by 2013 unless something is done about the situation.

“We need to take a tough decision to sustain the scheme and as we continue to block leaks in the system and let the law deal with those found to have involved in financial misconduct and our clinical audits have been able to recoup something close to GH¢15 billion that would have gone waste.”

It is not certain whether government deliberately wants to collapse the scheme and blame it on the past administration, or whether the NDC’s own internal wrangling is having an adverse toll on the future of the NHIS.

What is certain is that the 17 million plus Ghanaians registered with the NHIS would have to return to the ‘cash and carry’ era by the year 2013 because the NDC government would have no funds to run the scheme.

SCIZO Hits Big

It is true that hip life artiste Scizo does not have albums upon albums to his credit but the fact is he has created a lot of impact on the music scene with the release of the ‘1 Stone’ track, on which he featured Kwabena-Kwabena.
Music lovers have since then been longing for Scizo and watching out for his next big hit. So far, he has partially satisfied his fans with his ‘once in a while stage performances’ as well as the showing of his music videos on MTV Base and Channel O.
Just last week, his music videos got nominated in two categories for the second edition of the 4syte Music Video awards scheduled for November 20 this year.
Scizo, whose real name is Joseph Kwame Sogli, has finally bounced back with the release of ‘Make Me Feel You’, a dancehall track featuring Stone Boy. The song which is raising eyebrows in town is one that would make any Ghanaian proud.
From lyrics, rhythm, tempo, to sound, ‘Make Me Feel You’ is an irresistible dancehall track that promises to be a big hit for Scizo.
The sample album of ‘Make Me Feel You’ has other songs such as ‘Rain Rain’ and ‘I Dey For You’. Interestingly, he has already done the video for both songs and placed them on YouTube.
NEWS-ONE caught up with him for a brief talk and he had this to say:
“You can say it is a Christmas package for Ghanaians and tourists who visit the country. I released this on Faa S33 label and we are planning to do put up a show at the Alliance Française by November before I do a mini tour with the tracks.
“In life you can only do what God permits you and I have learnt to do one thing at a time and rely mostly on God. I have done the tracks and the videos now hoping that by March next year, the full album would be out for my fans,” Scizo disclosed.
NEWS-ONE delved a bit into the life of Scizo (pronounced as si-zo) and discovered he is not married, still single and holds strong Christian principles. He writes his own lyrics and flows well in English, Ga, Ewe and Asanti-Twi.
He had his basic education at St. Paul’s School at La before moving to St. Thomas Aquinas Secondary School. He also took a couple of professional courses and is currently taking lessons in sound engineering.

Youth Council Rejects ‘Gay Boy’

The management of the National Youth Council (NYC) says it cannot continue to tolerate the unruly behavior of Prince-Derrick Adjei, the alleged gay appointed by President Atta Mills as the deputy Co-ordinator of the National Youth Council.

The council has complained that “Prince-Derrick Adjei has undermined a professional culture that has evolved out of over thirty-five years of youth professional work to the detriment and disappointment of hardworking, dedicated workers and staff who have seen the National Youth Council through thick and thin to this day.”

The NYC’s declaration of no-confidence in Mr. Adjei comes at a time Civil Society and some members of Parliament have called for his immediate removal from office, following his continuous insulting nature, irresponsible statements and bad example to the youth he is supposed to lead.

The President has snubbed all the concerns raised and rather continued to reward the man.

The NYC, in a news statement released last Friday and signed by Sarah Obeng, said “comments and behavior of Prince-Derrick Adjei put the image and credibility of the council into public scrutiny as to what values and principles underline the mandate of the Youth Council.

“In distancing itself from Prince-Derrick Adjei’s effusions, management views his demeanor uncharacteristic of a professional youth development worker because before his appointment into the National Youth Council, staff had maintained for themselves a high sense of professional ethics and chalked professional integrity among youth development practitioners globally.”

It continued: “Management will want to assure the public, especially those who have been hurt by Prince-Derrick Adjei’s outburst, that the National Youth Council will not countenance such unruly behavior in its fold.”

According to the statement, Prince-Derrick Adjei has not behaved like the deputy National Co-ordinator of a “statutory youth development agency charged with the onerous responsibility to nurture the empowerment of the Ghanaian youth for honesty and integrity, self reliance and leadership, respect for authority and recognition of positive cultural values for excellence and humility, patriotism, and productive citizenship.”

Adjei has recently gained notoriety for talking loose and making wild allegations that cannot be substantiated.

In his response to an allegation that he is ‘a notorious homosexual’ who frequents bars and nightclubs of Accra, fishing for men to initiate into homosexuality, he lashed out, wildly claiming he knew several homosexuals, bisexuals and pedophiles even in Parliament and that he would publish their names last Wednesday September 15, 2010.

Derrick, on Wednesday, did not produce his list of gay MPs but rather levelled homosexual allegations against a number of journalists and political activists who took him on and dared him to produce his list of gay MPs.

ALARM BLOW Over Ministers’ ‘Chop Chop’

Reports reaching DAILY GUIDE indicate that the Information Ministry has suddenly become an avenue for siphoning public funds into pockets of appointees of the Mills administration, with the Minister, John Tia Akologo, being fingered as one of the appointees.
John Tia, who recently jumped to the defence of Stanislav Xoese Dogbe, a Presidential Aide over the GH¢169,000.00 hampers’ scandal even though he was not the Minister at the time when the money was spent, is said to be plundering the account of the ministry with his unrestrained profligacy.
Sources at the Ministry of Information have hinted that President Atta Mills caused the dismissal of Nee Agiri Barnor also known as Mije Barnor as Acting Director of the Information Services Department (ISD), mainly on suspicion that he was a whistle-blower who would not justify corruption by calling it an ‘indiscretion’.
The President’s aim is to ostensibly conceal corruption at the Ministry including the GH¢169,000.00 hampers’ scandal, sources swore to DAILY GUIDE over the weekend.
Days after government sacked Nee Agiri, workers within the ISD have told the media there was collective looting of the taxpayer’s money by the Information Minister, John Tia and his two deputies.
Yesterday, a group within the ISD accused Mr. Tia and his two deputies, Samuel Okudzeto-Ablakwa and James Agyenim Boateng of unbridled corruption.
The ISD workers, in a press statement, alleged that John Tia picks between GH¢2,000 and GH¢5,000 Ghana cedis from the coffers of the Ministry anytime he travelled outside Accra, according to a Citi FM report.
The group referred to the Minister and his deputies as “greedy, corrupt and selfish”, and alleged that funds meant for the ISD had been deliberately locked up in the Ministry’s coffers.
It claimed only GH¢45,000 of a budget of GH¢340,000 allocated to the ISD was released in 2009.
The concerned staff also alleged that a budget of GH¢145,000 released for public education on the H1N1 influenza was diverted.
They claimed Mije Barnor was sacked because of fears that the widespread corruption at the Ministry could be exposed after Mr. Dogbe was caught pants down with the ¢1.6 billion he was said to have spent on buying hampers for journalists.
John Tia has however denied the allegations and asked his accusers to provide evidence of the alleged corruption.
He told Citi FM yesterday that it was rather the sacked ISD boss who wanted to corrupt him.
However, the Information Minister said he failed to report the matter to the police, but warned him not to try it again.
According to John Tia, since it was a mere intention, he did not find it necessary to report to the police, but rather asked Nee Agiri to go home and sin no more.
Sources from the ISD have told DAILY GUIDE that Agiri Barnor was overly principled on instilling accountability and productivity and was therefore seen as a thorn in the flesh of some bad nuts in the Ministry. This paper was reliably informed that a plush party was thrown to celebrate his dismissal in the home of one of the stooges ‘used’ to plot his dismissal.
The sources said barely 24 hours after his announced expulsion, his official vehicle and office were taken over by a retired officer who was one of the ‘coup makers’.
President Mills’s golden boy - Stanislav Dogbe - cannot account for a cash of GH¢169,000.00 (¢1.69 billion) he admits to have personally received from the Principal Accountant of the Ministry of Information on December 21st, 2009 (three days to Christmas) to “enable me to carry out public education on the 2010 annual budget.” The budget had been read on November 18, 2009, over a month by the Finance Minister, Dr Kwabena Duffuor.
This is the third time within a period of two years that the President Mills has publicly victimized public servants suspected either rightly or wrongly to have raised an alarm over government appointees involved in alleged corrupt practices and cannot account for the taxpayer’s money.
Our sources at the Presidency say Tourism Minister Zita Okaikoi has become the target of the powers that be at the seat of government, after she refused to defend Mr. Dogbe on several radio stations, though she was the Minister for Information when the said money was signed for and collected in a ‘Ghana Must Go’ travelling bag.
It would be recalled that the Mills Government caused the interdiction of a former Chief Director of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Albert Anthony Ampong and Adim Odoom, a Principal Accountant of the same Ministry, after they exposed alleged corrupt practices by the then Sports Minister, Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak.
After DAILY GUIDE broke the story that Mr. Dogbe had collected the cash of GH¢169,000 meant to educate the public on the national budget but used an undisclosed part of the money to buy Christmas hampers for some unnamed journalists, a number of pro-government media houses accused Agiri Barnor of being the source of the story.
Interestingly, President Mills was quick to sack Mr. Barnor but he is still rewarding Mr. Dogbe by keeping him as a special aide, though the latter has fumbled in explaining what he used the money for, prompting widespread calls for his dismissal.

CPP Bosses Sacked

TWO ELECTED National Executive officers of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) have been sacked from the party over statements they made that were rather embarrassing to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government in respect of the Kosmos Energy and the STX Korea Housing deal.

The CPP has accordingly issued a categorical statement that party’s General Secretary Ivor Greenstreet and its National Youth Organizer, Kwabena Bomfeh, have been deposed and they “cease with immediate effect to act as Secretary General and Youth organizer respectively.”

The dismissal letter was signed by the party’s first national vice chairman, Dr. Abu Sakara, after the party’s central committee held an emergency meeting last Thursday over the two national officers.

According to the statement, Greenstreet and Bomfeh had also been referred to the party’s disciplinary committee to answer charges of conducts that were deemed to have brought the image of the party into disrepute contrary to Article 77 (a) (ii) of the CPP’s constitution.

It added that pending the outcome of the disciplinary committee, the CPP would have nothing to do with the two elected national officers.

The statement noted that “the central committee wishes to assert the authority vested in the chairman of the party as the ultimate spokesperson and representative of the party superseding all other members in all matters.

“It also cautions all CPP party members that the central committee will not countenance any challenge to the authority of the chairman and leadership outside of laid down internal procedures of discussion and debate in appropriate forum within the party.”

Meanwhile, party Chairman Ladi Nylander, on August 2, 2010, issued a similar press statement regarding Greenstreet and Bomfeh, warning the two that “the party would not tolerate the use of its name to champion personal interests that are not consistent with nor officially approved as party position.”

Nylander, in his statement, said: “the two have recently made statements or taken actions that have been carried in the media as official positions and actions of the party.

“CPP wishes to state most categorically that the statements and actions of the two members of our executive relating to the STX matter and Kosmos Energy are their personal positions and do not in any way represent officially approved positions of the Party.

“The Convention People’s Party (CPP) wishes to distance itself vigorously from recent personal actions by General Secretary Ivor Greenstreet and National Youth Organizer Kwabena Bomfeh,” Nylander noted.

The two sacked officers, who have recently been critical of government over the manner it handled the $1.5bilion STX housing deal, could not be reached for their comments as at press time.

The Minister for Employment and Social Welfare, Enock Teye Mensah, has been accused of plotting to ‘shit-bomb’ members of the Civil and Local Government Staff Association (CLOSAG) because he suspects they are being sponsored by the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

So angry were the leadership of CLOSAG that they called on their members to embark on daily nationwide demonstrations from Tuesday August 24 to Friday August 27.

“We have been told by the very persons he is plotting with and we are not surprised because that is his stock-in-trade. We are ready for him and as we said in the press statement, we have bought disinfectants like Detol and ‘akeshaa’ to clean up the place.

He cannot scare us with his shit-bomb tactics,” the leadership of CLOSAG told DAILY GUIDE just after they had addressed a press conference in Accra.

The CLOSAG leaders appeared very agitated as some of them overlooked the presence of journalists and rained insults on the gray-haired minister.

The insults were simply unprintable and the actual meanings would be best appreciated in the Ga language which was mostly used.

They had red bands around their heads and wrists as some of them shouted and threw angry fists skyward.

“For now what we would advise the Minister [E.T. Mensah] to do before we call on the President for his removal is, he should undertake courses in Labour-related issues starting from the Ghana Labour College and further it at the University of Cape Coast if he so wishes, for him to update his skills in modern trends in Labour Relations.

This would enable him to build his capacity to administer his office on labour matters and to appropriately advise the President on good governance,” Edward Tennyson Foli, Acting President of the association noted.

CLOSAG told the media that they were angry because E.T. Mensah had described them as a pack of “retired, old-fashioned and blockheaded officers” belonging to an association that “was formed with funding from the New Patriotic Party”.

They alleged that E.T. Mensah had also noted that “the recent nationwide demonstrations by CLOSAG members were undertaken by supporters of the NPP and that the demonstrators were not civil servants”.

According to the association’s Acting President, “CLOSAG is not surprised at his comments because that is the attitude, posture and body language of someone who is fatigued in governance, tracing his background in politics to as far as PNDC era to date. Who looks more old-fashioned and tired of the system?”

E.T. Mensah did not appear perturbed about the development when DAILY GUIDE sought his views in a telephone interview yesterday.

“What they are saying is nothing but a pack of lies against me and because this matter is before the Labour Commission, I do not want to comment on it or glorify them with a response because there is work for me to do.

“All I would say is that I would not be distracted and I want to remain focused. Are they saying they are happy with themselves that out of 103 associations, 102 are working with us except them?

Look, the train has taken off and they better join rather than try to bring government to its knees,” Mr. Mensah said.

CLOSAG in their statement responded to what they alleged Mr. Mensah had said about them. “…That CLOSAG was formed with funding from the NPP is an unfortunate statement coming from a high profile and elderly personality of government who ought to have known the history of Labour Unions and Associations in the country that are currently related to his ministry.

“The Minister is being haunted by his past practices. How on earth could an Association, very conversant with the needs of its members, go bussing party sympathizers to demonstrate?

…It would mean all demonstrations, for example, the recent one by the ICU on utility tariff hikes, was also politically motivated.”

Ghana’s Tourism Minister, Zita Sabah Okaikoi, is residing with her maid-servant and bodyguard in a government of Ghana facility while on a private visit to New York to seek maternal care, information reaching DAILY GUIDE from the United States indicates.

Apart from staying at the residential facility at the Consulate, reports say Zita and her private maid are chauffeur-driven in government of Ghana vehicles on their private rounds.

The vehicles are fueled and maintained by the Ghanaian tax payer, sources say.

Amazingly, all telephone numbers to the office of the consulate went unanswered and were directed to voice mails when DAILY GUIDE called.

Zita herself could also not be reached on phone and when DAILY GUIDE asked Deputy Information Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, what the Tourism Minister was doing outside the country, he seemed not to be in the know and suggested that Zita herself speaks to the issue.

Foreign Minister Alhaji Mohammad Mumuni could also not be reached on phone and two text messages sent to his phone for a reaction were not answered.

The 15-floor consulate was purchased for Ghana by ex-head of state General Ignatius Kutu Acheampong.

A source who spoke on anonymity explained: “The building is very big and there are some parts that are scarcely used.

It was restructured and rebuilt into two residential facilities by the Kufuor government and the minister is staying with her house-girl in one of them.”

Michael has issued a detailed press statement on the matter and threatened to take a few media houses to court because he was unhappy about the way the story was carried and when News-One contacted James for an interview on the matter, he gave some shocking revelations.
We present excerpts of the interview as well as a full text of Michael’s press statement.
News-One: “You seem to be destroying your son with this claim that he has neglected you.
James Essien: “It is not true I am out to destroy Michael, at least I am proud he has sent my name to the international levels and if I played football for Gold Coast and my son is playing for Ghana, what can I say but to be proud of him but truth must also be said that Essien is not looking after me as he is making the world to believe”

News-One: What about the three-bed room house he built for you?
James Essien: “This is where I live; a mud house built by my brother many years ago even before Michael was born. It is the room in which I stay that he renovated and added a hall. He has never built me a house. I do not believe he wrote that statement himself.”
News-One: He claims he sends you money for your up-keep and car maintenance.
James Essien: “Yes once in a while he sends me GH¢500 (about $400) but the money is not regular and at times has about six months interval. As for the car, it is still at the workshop because there is no money to repair it. I am the third person to own that car and it is not as new as you think.
News-One: Is it true he pays for your medical bills and sent you to the Asikuma Hospital?
James Essein: “If Michael Essien says he sent me to Assikuma Hospital, it is a big lie; it is a traditional medicine man that comes here to take care of me.”
News-One: “If you had a message for your son, what would it be?
James Essien: “Oh I want to see him. We should live as father and son. It is not that I am interested in burdening him with my problems. I was taking care of myself before Michael was born and since then I still take care of myself; look I was born on 28th September 1932 so I not a small boy and there is very little I still expect from this life. But Michael is my son, my blood, the one that makes me proud all over the world and I must at least be made to feel like a father but not a stranger to him. I would want him to know I still love him as my child and follow his career and all his games. In fact there are things I want to tell him as a father, things I want to tell him in person.”

FULL MICHAEL ESSIEN STATEMENT TO THE PRESS ON FATHER’S CLAIMSI have faced many many difficult challenges in my life but this is the hardest thing I have ever done as my heart bleeds over the false statements recently peddled by a small section of the Ghanaian media goaded by my own father.
I had never wanted to discuss my family in public or any good I do to anyone because when you do good, you go only for God’s recognition.
But for the thousands of Ghanaians and the highly respectable people of our country who have contacted me and know what I have consistently done for my father, I need to react to stop the attempt to destroy me in the eyes of the people of Ghana and disgrace my family.
Given what I have done for my father, when I was told of the false, vile and degrading comments he made about me, I wept because people normally do not get insults for doing good.
But my father decided to pay me back in such a terrible way. Because of this I have been unfortunately forced to say what I have done for him because he has gone to the extreme to disgrace my family. I will like to state the following facts:
1. My father currently lives in a three-bedroom house (not mud house) I instructed my sister to build for him with my own money.
2. He is visited monthly and more recently twice a week by my sister Diana on my orders to regularly give him money and other essentials I send. My mother, whom he has insulted so much, also provides for him.
3. I bought a car for him to make his transportation easier and part of the money I provide for him is used to fuel the car or repair it when it breaks down.
4. When his illness broke out I asked for him to be taken to the Asikuma Hospital but he said he wants traditional medicine. I provided money for him to undergo traditional treatment. It came to nothing and I ordered for him to be taken to the hospital. My family, I believe have also organised for a nurse to come home and look after him on regular basis.

Because of these reasons and many more reasons I won’t state publicly, I am shocked by what he is alleged to have said but God knows I have done my best to thoroughly look after a man who didn’t even raise me or take part in my upbringing and who has 8 other children who can help.
What has surprised me though is how certain media houses in Ghana can present one side of a story and not seek to check the other side before going all out to criticise my whole family.

..And this was how the media broke the story: “LARGE QUANTITIES of foul-scented human excreta was yesterday sprayed at the premises of Martyrs of Uganda Catholic Church in Accra in what appears to be a protest against the Metropolitan Archbishop of Accra- Archbishop Gabriel Charles Palmer Buckle.”
APART FROM the days of Noah and the Ark, no living memory has witnessed a sacrilege near this! My Lord, the Pope must hear this. I am not sure he may want to see and smell the pungent human excreta dump at the premises of Martyrs of Uganda Catholic Church in Accra but definitely, the Pope must be told about this sacrilege.
I feel ashamed about it because this is happening at a time when other Christians are being killed like flies in Northern Nigeria and buried in mass graves just because they are spreading the gospel of Christ.
My Lord, while some Christians are being murdered because they are spreading the gospel other Christians are busy spreading shit on church walls! What even makes matters worse is that the second group of Christians had to use money to but the shit whiles some of their fellow church members are in dire need of money to buy food. …Yet they call themselves Christians.
Human beings with souls in them decided to carry buckets of human excreta on their heads and dump it at a holy Parish just because they have scores to settle with their Archbishop. Eii, My Lord, if Christians have stated carrying shit to protest against their leaders, what do they expect non-Christians to do?
I would not be surprised if the next thing we hear is that Christians have started carrying decomposed corpses from one parish to another to show that they have a slight issue to clear with a fellow Christians.
I wonder which people shat all that shit and whether they know it would be used in spraying a church auditorium. And what would have happened if the shit had poured on the Christians that carried it on their heads to the Church auditorium.
I hear is hot when it is fresh but not in the cold of a Sunday morning at a church premises.
My Lord, reports monitored in the media suggest that the Christians decided to buy and carry the shit because they disagree with their Archbishop over a couple of decisions he has made with relation to church funds and church property.
Interestingly, other Ghanaian pastors are quite over the matter. I expect to hear fierce condemnation of this act and I want to hear other Men of God condemn this sacrilege no matter what denomination they belong.
If the Metropolitan Archbishop of Accra- Archbishop Gabriel Charles Palmer Buckle has been shit-bombed today and other Men of God are quite over the matter, they should not expect any sympathy when they are shit-bombed tomorrow or attacked in any other way. Men of God are not speaking about this sacrilege….Yet they call themselves Christians.
My Lord, permit me to once again quote what Martin Niemoller said; it may pump some sense into the heads of those Pastors who are quite over this matter: “...Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak up, because I was not a Jew. My Lord I do not simply give a dam about which A-holes may get angry that I am writing on Roman Fathers and their sex scandals.

Must a man be deprived of sex forever simply because he wants to serve God? God does not hate sex. What He hates is when the sex is ‘stolen’; He hates sex between a man and a woman not properly married as husband and wife. The difference is clear My Lord.
In fact, what is the sense in glorifying a trivial law that cannot be obeyed by the very people responsible for keeping that law? This debate of whether Catholic Priests should be allowed to marry has dragged on for decades without reaching a common ground for settlement. In the interim the Catholic Church is paying huge sums of money to settle sex scandal cases involving their Priests.
With your permission My Lord, let me quote how the Ghanaian media reported the most recent of such cases: “Randy Roman Catholic Priest Rev. Father Charles Asamoah, who inflicted multiple cutlass wounds on 42-year-old Janet Dwamena Agyapomaa after their secret amorous affair turned sour, has been released from police detention…
“The victim went into coma after sustaining multiple cutlass wounds all over her body at the dawn of last Thursday, allegedly perpetrated by Fr. Charles Asamoah, the Parish Priest of Bodwesango Catholic Church.

“She was found in a pool of blood at the roadside around 6:30 am at Bodwesango from where passersby rushed her to the St. Louis Hospital in the community and later, AngloGold Ashanti Hospital in Obuasi.”
My Lord the accused Priest is one of the countless Catholic Priests who had been involved in one sex scandal or another and it is time we realized the law of celibacy needs an urgent review. The Men of God want to have sex. Good hot and wild sex that glorifies God and not one that brings shame to the Church.
The Priests cannot just hold it any longer. They are not some bunch of dried grass in harmatan. They are grown men with libido and sperms in their balls; sperms that want to be released into vaginas. Simple!
Man was not made for the law. The law was made for man. We need not uphold laws that do more harm than good. My Lord, you may need to tell us what the Catholic Church is waiting for before they accepted reality that it is not good for a man to stay alone.

To Wash or Not To Wash

My Lord, I do not shear the view that some matters are not to be discussed. I believe in this era of free speech, no matter is above discussion as long as it is not defamatory or contempt of court.
It is on this base that I venture into the topic of washing of the vagina. This is one topic people shy away from yet complain in the comfort of their rooms.
Ordinarily, it would not make logical sense for one to raise questions about whether or not the vagina should be washed. Washing makes it neat and the neater he better.
What is generating a this new controversy is this alien theory that sex is sweeter in an unwashed vagina- a theory the Sexy Prophet told me is shared by women from one of the Francophone West African countries.
He explained that the said women have this perception that a foul scented vagina makes sex sweeter and that the scent alone turns their men on. Well, people have the right to believe whatever they want to believe and we dare not begrudge them.
The sexy Prophet explained further that the said women only wash their vagina when they feel offended by their husbands. They see the washing of the vagina as a form of punishment meted on their male sex partners.
My Lord, I would have concluded it is a matter of culture vs. hygiene if not for this supposed new medical findings that a continuous washing of the vagina can be injurious to the health. (See page).
After reading and listening to all the latest theories, I became confused on what to tell my sex partner and that is why I have brought this matter before this honorable court.
It has been a difficult decision for me because in as much as I want to enjoy my sex, I am not sure I can stand the foul scent from an unwashed vagina. How can I send my nose there and even my tongue to do the licking.
As for the matter of licking, I would talk of it another day because I hear licking causes candidacies. I wonder if a blow job also has its side effects.
But back to the issue of the supposed sweetness of I unwashed vagina, permit me to tell this court what a female friend told me about how sweet her vagina can be.

Pastors And Vaginas

My Lord, I have realized some male Pastors of my generation love vaginas more than even gynecologists do. That explains why their hands are always wandering near the vaginas of their congregation.
Vaginas are not like eyes or ears that are kept in the open. Vaginas are hidden in cloths and kept between the tights of a lady. It would take a serious search for one to get there yet these Pastors have a way of easily reaching the place.
A friend of mine told me that when the Bible said Moses used his rod in dividing the Red Sea for the Israelites to run through, some Pastors of today think it is symbolic and that the literal meaning is that Moses used his erected penis in dividing some red-flesh-vagina for sperms to run through.
It may be for this reason that many pastors of my time have become self styled gynecologists who voluntarily work on the vaginas of their church members.
My Lord, this must stop.
Interestingly, the only Pastor I know of who doubles and a gynecologist is Bishop Dag Heward-Mills of the Lighthouse Chapel International but he has never been reported of having conducted himself in any unaccepted way. God bless his soul and his ministry. Oh Say Amen. AMEN!
Not long ago, there was this Man of God at Dansoman in Accra. He was visited by two teenage girls from his church. They wanted prayers to cure some Sexually Transmitted Infections they were suffering from.
This Man of God prepared some concoctions for the ladies and gave to the girls to insert into their vaginas. He then explained that the concoction had not gone deep enough so he needed to use his erected penis in pushing the concoction further down their honey jar.

My Lord, her vagina is simply immature and her breasts undeveloped. No wonder people say the sex was for juju miracle reason.

What I do not get is why these Pastors do not abandon the church to rather start working on sick vaginas in our hospitals. When I sought the view of a friend, he said it may be due to the dressing style of our sisters. That may be true because what some of our sisters wear to church now adays can make a gay turn into a bi-sexual.
And even as we are still struggling with this dressing matter, I hear the head of the Pentecost church has given his blessings to the wearing of miniskirts to church.

‘Give Us Flag-bearer Now’

THE LEADERSHIP of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Greater Accra has demanded that as a matter of uttermost urgency the party must immediately elect a flag-bearer for the 2012 Presidential election.
The regional Chairman; Ishmael Ashittey, his Vice; Gladys Deed Mann, and the entire Constituency Chairpersons in the region have accordingly issued a unanimous resolution on Thursday requesting that the National Executive should stop dragging its feet over the matter and rather fast track the process of electing a flag-bearer.
“This is action time and we need to do our work as a political party in opposition. We need to kick start the campaign for the next election but we need a Presidential Candidate and we need it now,” Ishmael Ashittey told the assembly of Constituency Chairpersons who appeared fired-up.
The Regional Chairman’s comments were endorsed by the Abokobi-Madina Chairman; S. O. Darko who explained the perceived factionalism within the party would be quenched only when it gets a flag-bearer thus the longer it takes for the NPP to get a flag-bearer, the wider it falls apart.
Chairman for Ledjokuku, Mr. Boi, seconded S.O. Darko’s motion just before all the Chairpersons present and gave an acclamation that indeed; they are in absolute support of an early congress to elect a flag-bearer.
Interestingly the demand from the Greater Accra leadership of the NPP has being the chorus on the lips of the National Chairman; Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey since he was voted into office a fortnight ago.
Obetsebi-Lamptey had pledged, even in his maiden speech and subsequent deliveries, to get his colleague executive officers to give the NPP a Presidential candidate within the shortest time possible.
His pledge is however yet to me honored as the NPP has not even opened nominations for the presidential primaries.
So far about five persons are reported to have expressed the intent of being the party’s flag-bearer but the two domineering names in the grape vine are those of the 2008 flag-bearer; Nana Akufo-Addo and former Trade Minister; Alan Kyeremanteng.

Prophet Arrested For Bonking Daughter

Prophet Nana Kofi Yirenkyi, aka Jesus One Touch, leader of Jesus Blood Prophetic Ministry, has been arrested for reportedly having a series of wild bouts of sex with his 10-year-old biological daughter.

The same pastor was recently arrested over reports that he had inserted his finger into the vagina of the wife of Prophet Eric Amponsah aka Computer Man, head pastor of Hope Generation Ministry.

“What we gather is that he sleeps with the daughter anytime the church is having a revival session or crusade and people are expecting miracles,” police sources told DAILY GUIDE.

The arrested Man of God was kept in Police custody over the weekend and was not allowed to hold church service on Sunday March 7; nor did he celebrate Ghana’s 53rd independence anniversary.

The 10-year-old daughter (name withheld) purportedly admitted that she had been defiled by her father, a pastor, and her immature vagina shattered beyond repairs.

He would be processed for court today.

DAILY GUIDE gathered that Prophet Yirenkyi, after having sex with his daughter, releases his sperms into a white ‘miracle’ handkerchief and then uses the same handkerchief to clean the little girl’s vagina.

About a month ago, DAILY GUIDE laid hands on a secretly recorded telephone conversation believed to be a romantic dialogue between Prophet Yirenkyi and the wife of Computer Man, another man of God.

On the said recording, a male voice, believed to be that of Prophet Yirenkyi, is heard speaking softly with the lady in question, and asking her about the color of her panties, texture of underwear, the position she was lying on bed and other unprintable talks.

The lady responded that she was wearing white panties and a white nightwear. The pastor was also heard asking in Twi, whether or not he would quiver when he sees the contents of the said panties.

The pastor again asked the lady to tell him “something” that would make him sleep.

Both pastors are known to be the closest of friends and their churches are located at Oblogo in Accra. The lady in question (name withheld for now) is reported to be the niece of Prophet Yirenkyi, the very man who reportedly abused her.

When DAILY GUIDE contacted Jesus One Touch over the matter, he claimed innocence and said it was a plot to frame him up. The Prophet said his star witness was the mother of the lady in question and that he was completely innocent.

When asked about the voice on the said telephone conversation, Jesus One Touch suddenly froze and said he was driving and that the reporter should call him later because it was not safe to drive and talk at the same time.

The pastor, whose wife was reportedly fingered, was quoted by Joy Fm as having said, “The man fingered her…the so-called pastor fingered her and then kissed her as well.”

According to him, Jesus One Touch invited the lady to receive an item but ended up kissing her and inserting his finger into her vagina. He said the lady admitted the matter in the presence of his church members only after fervent prayers and fasting for God to expose his enemies.

When my mother was in her teens, I hear it was forbidden for ladies to show their breasts in public. Not even a part of the breasts. Tailors and seamstresses were very aware of this and it reflected in the style of dresses at the time. My Lord, we now live in interesting times and I suspect the breasts of a lady are no longer considered to be a part of her private parts.

Prophet Nana Kofi Yirenkyi aka Jesus One Touch, leader of Jesus Blood Prophetic Ministry, was yesterday arrested over reports that he had inserted his fingers into the vagina of the second wife of Prophet Eric Amponsah aka Computer Man, head pastor of Hope Generation Ministry.

Jesus One Touch is a married man and DAILY GUIDE has laid hands on a secretly-recorded telephone conversation believed to be a romantic dialogue between him and the lady he was alleged to have fingered.

On the said recording, a male voice, believed to be that of Prophet Yirenki (Jesus One Touch), was heard speaking softly with the lady in question and asking her about the color of her panties, texture of the underwear, the position she was lying on bed and other unprintable remarks.

The lady responded, saying she was wearing white panties and a white nightwear. The pastor was also heard asking whether or not he would quiver and shake when he sees the contents of the said panties. The pastor again asked the lady to tell him “something” that would make him sleep.

Both pastors were known to be the closest of friends and their churches are located at Oblogo in Accra. The lady in question (name withheld for now) was reported to be the niece of Prophet Yirenkyi, the very man who reportedly abused her.

When DAILY GUIDE contacted Jesus One Touch over the matter, he claimed innocence and said it was a plot to frame him up. The Prophet said his star witness was the mother of the lady in question and that he was completely innocent.

When asked about the voice on the said telephone conversation, Jesus One Touch said he was driving and that the reporter should call him later because it was not safe to drive and talk at the same time.

The pastor whose wife was reportedly fingered, was quoted by Joy Fm as saying, “The man fingered her…the so-called pastor fingered her and then kissed her as well.”

According to him, Jesus One Touch invited the lady to receive an item but ended up kissing her and inserting his fingers into her vagina. He said the lady admitted the matter in the presence of his church members only after fervent prayers and fasting for God to expose his enemies.

Sources at the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) headquarters told DAILY GUIDE the accused pastor was bailed at about 4.00pm yesterday and asked to report on Monday after he was detained at the station for close to eight hours. He was picked up after reports from the lady that she had been sexually abused and threatened with death by him.

The CID source disclosed that Jesus One Touch played a key role in facilitating the marriage between the lady and his Pastor friend but had since then maintained a close friendship with the lady.

Though the reports are not yet confirmed, George Darko, an ace musician, has denied that he was one of the persons who got a number of girls from the area to strip naked and allow their photos to be taken for a pornographic production which would be sold in Germany.
News-One gathered that when Happy FM in Accra first broke the story, George Darko went to the station twice to deny that he had a his involvement in the scandal though his name had not been mentioned.
He had also spent a good part of his life in Germany, they very country where the said pornography is believed to be on sale and when News-One visited the Akropong area, several residents said it is strongly suspected that George Darko may have something to do with the matter.

Jaws dropped in Ghana when news broke that two adult men, including a primary school teacher, had been stripped naked and paraded in town by some armed soldiers on official duty in the Northern sector of the country.
Neighbors of the two naked men who attempted to go to their rescue were beaten and shoved aside as the men were marched to a basic school in the community and mocked before several children including some pupils of one of the naked men.
The episode is not different from what Ghanaian soldiers do to any civilian they spot wearing any form of military camouflage material. Even when the camouflage has not been sown as an army uniform, the wearer would still be forced to remove it and hand over immediately. Yet many boutiques in Ghana have on sale designer clothing in the form of military camouflage.
The Ghana Armed Forces has been silent over this widely-spread development and it was thus not unexpected that once again, the military command came out to publicly deny the strip-naked story, even when the military had not conducted any form of investigations into the matter.
A fortnight later, Daily Guide, the paper I work for, produced a secret video recording of the episode. The video captured the two men being assaulted by soldiers dressed as if they were going to war. The two men had been stripped completely naked and were bleeding, apparently from severe torture they had endured from the soldiers.
The video also captured the soldiers pushing the muzzle of their guns into the mounts of the naked men whose hands had been tied at their backs.
Though the video captured the faces of the soldiers behind the abuses, no arrests had been made and many several other Ghanaians are continuously forced by soldiers to go naked in public anytime they are spotted wearing any form of military camouflage.
The insanity is gaining grounds and makes raised doubts whether indeed Ghana still deserves to be touted as an ‘icon of democracy in Africa’ where rule of law is respected.
In the Ghanaian culture, it is sacrilegious for a man to be forced to walk in town naked. It is taken that such a man has been stripped of his dignity, honor and self respect. It is tantamount to killing his very soul.

Judge this case for us My Lord, which woman in her right senses would tell the whole world she has HIV when she does not? Which woman would tell the whole world she had been sexed raw by a man when she had not?
My Lord, why is this top politician not going for the HIV test just to clear his name since he is claiming he does not have HIV and had never had sex with the woman?
My Lord, let me end by saying what a pastor friend of mine told me sometime back. He told me that one should rather die than be betrayed because there is no deceit in death. He said death delivers precisely what it has promised while betrayal is the willful slaughter of hope.
I see what this top politician has done as a betrayal and a killing of the soul of the woman. It therefore comes as no surprise when he publicly vowed to silence her soul spiritually. I rest my case for now.

HAVING AN affair outside marriage on the quite may be a pardonable offence but it is a big deal when Police officers start complaining that their married boss is having a loud extramarital affair in his office; especially when loud sex orgies are involved.

This daughter has a political ambition and is reported to have produced a baby for one of the said MPs. This particular MP, who supposedly fathered the child, is a multibillionaire business investor who speaks his mind without fear or favor and is handsome, tall and a philanthropist.
News-One gathered from the grapevine that the said Apostle was not very enthused when he heard of the pregnancy because he had hoped the daughter would have waited for an unmarried man to take her to the altar.
The Apostle, we hear, allowed the pregnancy because he considered an abortion s a greater offense against God.
The lady has since given birth and the father of the child is reported to have bought a house for her somewhere near Adjirigano in Accra.

Oh no! Haaba, why me? It is not fair. I plead innocent until proven guilty.
My Lord I beg you, please listen to me; it is this same Pastor who came to my house and invited me to his church so I see no reason why he should be doing this to me.
If this Pastor had not invited me, I originally had no such intentions of ever stepping foot in any church again after what I experienced in my former church.
My Lord, It is true that I was fully erected in church; it is also true that I was not wearing any brief or supporter as they say...But I was wearing a sagging pair boxer-short at least. Yes, my flap was open, but it was not deliberate.
I see nothing wrong with that My Lord; after all, I am a young man with hot bold and the Pastor should have told you about the semi-nude models in his church.
He should have told you that I, just like many other young men my age, was mesmerized by their sheer beauty and their sexy-scented perfume and that it was the choirmaster who asked the church members to give each other a hug and a holy kiss.

My Lord, it is not fair, it is not proper and I know that if the church men are to be honest, many of them would confess that they were once or twice turned on by the dressing style of the models.
As for what they do with their waists in the name of dancing, I would not talk about this now.
If this is acceptable in the church, even when they know young men are around why should I be blamed? If the church can tolerate this type of provocative dressing, what moral rights does it have to complain about falling moral standards.
My Lord, yes, I was erected, yes we were in church, yes I hugged the lady, yes my flap was open, but it was not my fault and I meant no malice.

The Chiefs and Queen Mothers must be angry My Lord and understandably so. How can we explain this folly and expect not to incur their wrath? After well over 10 hours of dancing in state that followed 21-days of preparation that include the heavy polishing of faces with pancake and shinning of already fat lips with red lipstick, they were prevented from dancing before and even seeing the very guest they were bending over backwards for.
My Lord, the Chiefs and their Queen Mothers, in a display of unprecedented hospitality, had banned every funeral and soccer event the region just to welcome their guest. They then adorned themselves in their most sophisticated regalia of gay colors and ordered the traditional guards to carry them sky high in traditional palanquins of all shapes and sizes.
They lined the principal streets at dawn and danced till dusk in a carnival style with no small measure of self-satisfaction. Some even danced at the very circumference and at the tip of their palanquins as if they were trying to outdo each other just for the visiting Obama to see. My Lord, the Chiefs were not alone, their subjects followed suit; dancing in unison like trained monkeys specially chosen from Afram Plains.
The young men and women were not left out either. The slight difference was that this last group of dancers locked themselves in bedrooms and danced there in pairs making use of their waists. Each pair had a male and a female and though there was no music, all the paired-dancers maintained a similar rhythm and tempo.
We may get somewhere in begging our enraged chiefs to pardon these mbrofo guys for denying Obama his right to dance when he wants to dance and also take away his right to belch in satisfaction after eating an entire asanka of pounded yam with soup.
But what we cannot guarantee is whether or not the chiefs would be ready to accept any explanation on why they were prevented from dancing to the admiration of their black important guest; the very guest for which they had banned the burial of the dead and chased out of town the ‘stubborn’ bear-footed boys dribbling soccer beneath the coconut trees at the beach.
Even the fisher folks abandoned their canoes and fishing nets and joined their chiefs on the streets so they could all welcome Obama. When the time and hour finally came, the American President entered the region, saw the senior chief at his palace, moved straight to the Cape Coast Castle and then flew back to the airport ready to leave just like that. All this while, the streets were still choked with dancing chiefs and Queen Mothers who wanted Obama to see them do what they know how to do best.
How on earth can we give an appeasing explanation to these chiefs, some of which are yet to recover from the body ache they endured from the vigorous dance and whose verdict was it that Obama should not meet the chiefs.
My Lord, every verdict, they say, comes at a price and people are now questioning what these mbrofo people call protocol. How come the leader of the most advanced democracy is being denied a simple freedom of watching and waving to a group of dancing Chiefs and Queen Mothers?
My Lord, it makes me wonder what other right Mr. President is not being denied under the pretext of this folly they call protocol.
Does it affect his conjugal rights and wild styles he may love to perform with the long limbed Michelle? If the man is not allowed to even watch and wave at chiefs who are dancing in his honor then it is most plausible ‘protocol’ would not allow Mr. President do a ‘doggy’, an ‘arm-chair’, a ‘table-top’ or an ‘under-shower’.
I mean the man may even be prevented from some wild ‘bedmatic’ styles that may be considered a threat to his security and health. Haba, my Lord, why should the President lick a ‘jar of honey’ in his bedroom under all this ‘protocol’ palaver?

NDC Funded From Nigeria

POLITICAL FEATHERS have been ruffled in the Rivers State of Nigeria over revelations that an amount of $3.5 million of Nigerian taxpayer’s money was secretly given to Ghana’s ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) to help the party finance its 2008 election campaign.

The laws of Ghana do not permit political parties to solicit sponsorship from a foreign country or non-Ghanaians.

The Rivers State Governor, Rt. Hon. Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi, is accused of having given out the said amount to the NDC and that it was allegedly channeled through former President Jerry John Rawlings, who visits the Rivers State quite often and is a personal friend of the governor’s.

Pointblanknews.com, a Nigerian-based online media house, first broke the news and the publisher, Jackson Ude, in a telephone interview with DAILY GUIDE alleged that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is currently investigating Governor Amaechi for money-laundering and financial misappropriation.

The report claimed that “according to credible sources, part of the money that Amaechi is struggling to reconcile in the books may have actually gone into providing funds for the ruling party in Ghana, an alleged contribution to the election of incumbent Ghanaian President, John Atta Mills. A whopping Four Hundred Million, about $3.5 million, was allegedly transferred to facilitate the process in Ghana.

“Former Ghanaian dictator, Flight Lt. Jerry John Rawlings (Retired), has been identified as the alleged conduit through which the huge sums were transferred to the ruling party in Ghana.

Rawlings has been a regular visitor to Rivers State. Another individual identified as a courier for Governor Amaechi is one Nyeson Wike, an aide to Amaechi.

“Amaechi is said to have also invested several millions in blue chip companies in Ghana. He and other Governors in Nigeria are said to have devised a new strategy of investing stolen loots from Nigeria to neighboring countries, and Ghana with its seemingly stable economy has become a favored destination. In the last one year, Amaechi is said to have stashed away over one billion Naira to selected companies in Ghana, in a manner designed to beat the watchful eyes of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) who are still investigating the State for money laundering.”

Jackson Ude told DAILY GUIDE that the Office of the Rivers State Governor has decided not to comment on the allegation with an excuse that that the office is already being investigated for other financial issues.

DAILY GUIDE could also not get the Governor to comment on the story as attempts to reach him proved futile and he did not reply several e-mails sent to him to request for an interview.

CHOICE FM UNDER ATTACK

CHOICE FM, an Accra based private radio station, has been ordered not to broadcast a political current affairs programme it intends to start airing from this Saturday.
Promotional adverts for the programme, ‘Ghana Speaks’ has already started running on air when the station was yesterday warned that it would be broadcasting the program at the risk of the Host losing his life and the station running into problems.
Choice Fm belongs to Fred Oware, who was recently sacked by government from his position as Chief Executive Officer of the Bui Hydro Energy Development Project.
The threatening order, which was first sent in the form of a telephone call and a sms text message from a telephone number 0244371682, was reinforced by three men who stormed the station yesterday and introduced themselves to the General Manager, Raymond Afaga-Chie, as National Security agents.
The agents, said they had ‘orders from above’ to order the station not to broadcast the program because the promotional advert was injurious to the government in power and the Host, Martin Adjei-Mensah, is a know student leader of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Mr. Raymond Afaga-Chie in an interview with Daily Guide yesterday said the three intruders appeared mean and demanded to have a blue print of the programme’s contents and synopsis for the weeks to come.
“They were shouting on me to tell them the aim of the programme but I asked them to listen to the promo because it says it all and moreover we are a private station so I am not accountable to them in any way.
“I was surprised that they did not want to show their ID cards and when I insisted, one of them went back to the car only to come back and say they were from National security so I better cooperate with them in my own interest” Mr. Afaga-Chie added.
The promo of the programme raises questions on whether or not the new government had lived up to expectation in the last six months or it had been given more than it can handle.
The threatening sms which was sent to Martin Adjei-Mensah’s phone read: “How can you, a onetime serving President of TESCON NPP wing host a programme; it is because you want to be biased. You useless bastard. Stars it and you will see if you want to see something. BIG FOOL. We would finish you.”
Though Adjei-Mensah admitted he was a former President of the students’ wing of the NPP at the University of Ghana Legon, he said the programme would be an objective one and would follow the ethics of broadcasting.
Choice Fm says it would go ahead to air the programme this Saturday at 7pm and the issue had been reported to the Police for investigations.

Asabee Packs To BNI …With Wife, Bags and Bible

STEPHEN ASAMOAH-Boateng, the ‘most wanted’ former Information Minister, yesterday packed his toothbrush and paste, cosmetics and toiletries, cloths and boxer shorts plus a King James bible and followed his wife; pretty-faced Zuleika to the headquarters of the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI).
National Security agents, yesterday morning, pounced on Zuleika at her residence in an attempt to arrest her after they had gone to the Tantra Hill residence of her mother to throw their weights about and issue wild threats of arrest.
Asamoah-Boateng’s family packed their toiletries and panties to the BNI because they are unsure on when and if they would be given back their freedom to return home; already, his sister-in-law, 25-year old Yasmin Damoah, who was arrested without charge last Tuesday morning passed the night at the bureau and it is uncertain when she would be released or allowed to speak to her lawyers.
Perhaps, Asamoah- Boateng’s years of experience from living as in exile as a political refugee has taught him a few lessons in responding to invitations from national security greyhounds; especially when such invitations are politically motivated.
The untamed hunt for Zuleika and her relatives is part of a government agenda to throw the hangman’s noose on the neck of her husband, Mr. Asamoah-Boateng, over reports that an in-law of his had shares in a company that won an GHC86, 915.85 government contract last year.
Reports are that a top government official has whispered to the President that Mr. Asamoah-Boateng wrongly influenced the award of the said contract to Plexiform, thus the BNI has been unleashed to do a meticulous investigation to prove the allegation so as to get the ex-Minister under lock and key.
Zuleika’s arrest yesterday has to do with allegations from government that she “obstructed justice” when she dramatically snatched her husband’s passport from some BNI agents at the Kotoka International Airport last Sunday and kept it on a part of her body where no sane man would dare remove.
This happened after the said agents ambushed Asabee, Zuleika and their two kids aged four and two at the Airport and physically prevented them from boarding a British Airways flight to London; flight after delaying for an hour, was eventually ordered to off-load the checked-in luggage of Asamoah-Boateng and his family.
The agents, who refused to disclose their identity cards, claimed Asabee could not travel because he was to report to the BNI the next day; they seized his passport and those of his family and he was neither told the reason for the invitation nor shown any arrest warrant.
Asabee had since rejected the invitation and insisted that he would only respond to a formal invitation and not a verbal one from agents who would not disclose their identity.
Deputy Minister for Information, Okudjato Ablakwa, in an interview on the issue said “Stephen Asamoah-Boateng is being investigated for corruption, conflict of interest and abuse of office.”
Meanwhile, Plexiform upon completion of the contract has not been paid as a result of a presidential directive that the payment should be halted.
The Acting Chief Director at the Ministry, D.A.Y. Sampong, apparently displeased over the issue, has fired a letter to the Office of the President, asking that the President authorizes the release of funds for the payment of the contract because the Ministry went through “the necessary procurement processes to award the contract to M/S Plexiform Ventures”.
The Ag Chief Director noted that “the Ministry was on the verge of issuing the cheque to the company when a directive was received from the office of the President that all payments should not be made prior to approval by the Office of the President.”
The contract was awarded after it had properly gone through tender and the Ministry’s Entity Tender committee, of which Mr. Asamoah-Boateng was not a member, had accepted the Evaluation Report and unanimously agreed that out of the three companies that bid for the contract, Plexiform Ventures stood tall in aptitude, yet had the lowest price quotation and period to execute the contract.

Walahi Talahi, my Lord, I have never heard of this before; a Man of God in this Africa of ours telling his church members not to bring him gifts on his birthday but to rather send the gifts to the poor, widows and the destitute in society. For where?
He said this with his own mouth my Lord, Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua of the Synagogue Church of All Nations; Lagos, Nigeria said it. He said it just like that without thinking of the several wads of crisp currency he was blocking from entering his bank accounts.
He did not only say this strange thing my Lord, but he also refused to enjoy the sexy damsels who say they were sent to his church to seduce him to enter their panties. The damsels spoke for themselves and said they were sent from Mama Water; what those of you who love big words call Mermaid, to give the Man of God some hot bouts of sex.
Every now and then, these Mama water girls flock his church wearing all kinds of transparent handkerchiefs just to get to know the length and size of his rod of Moses.
There was this particular woman who painted her face with tones of Mascara and lipolipo who left her house before cockcrow; she took Okada to the Synagogue church only to grab the microphone to tell the congregation that God had sent her to tell T.B. My Lord you must judge this case because this T.B. Joshua man is perhaps the most criticized Pastor of our time; he has even been banned from the assembly of pastors in his country on allegations that he is an occult leader masquerading as an Apostle of Christ.
Yet the very pastors who are chewing his tails and gulping it down with a glass of red vodka have not given one single charge in the bible of which T.B. Joshua has failed to obey.
Even a sinner like me can easily tell that the loud mouthed critics are clearly judging the Man when the very bible they claim to preach has asked them not to judge others. See the pots calling the kettles black.
Despite my sin, I know the bible says in the book of Luke Chapter 6 vs 37 that “Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven”
I am quoting from the proper bible my Lord, I mean the King James Version and it was Jesus Himself speaking here.
Oh somebody should get the offering ready.
So what are they saying? Even if indeed, T.B. Joshua was an occult leader what have they done to convert him to Christ and is his crime beyond forgiveness? See these funny people Ooo; they have logs of timber stuck in their eyes yet they want to remove a tooth pick from another person’s eye.
My Lord, whiles T.B. Joshua is asking his church members to give his birthday parcels to the poor, we see other churches asking their congregation to pay a special offering which is given directly to the pastor anytime he says it is ‘Pastor’s Day’ and those of us who do not have much to give them are made to feel like a gang of ungrateful demons.
My Lord, some churches also have something called Pastor’s Appreciation Day, Pastor’s Wife Day and Pastor’s Birthday and Pastor’s Wedding Anniversary Day and many other such days where church members are told to carry gifts to pastor.
My Lord, if indeed T.B. Joshua is an occult leader why are the “True Men of God” not calling on their “True God” to expose him? Why are they fighting for the “True God”? Is He defenseless before T.B. Joshua?
And My Lord, if at the end of the day it comes to light that T.B. Joshua is a true man of God, would his critics move round the world to retract the insults and injurious materials they have put out about him?
Tell me My Lord, do these Pastors have the right to judge, condemn and sack one of their own- Prophet Temitope Balogun of the Synagogue Church of All Nations Church?

Church-Dance, Discotheque & My Libido

I was frightened My Lord; dancing has no formula but what I saw in church last Sunday almost gave me an orgasm, even in the very presence of my old mother who had gone to thank God for making her see another Mothers’ Day.
There was this particular lady who danced a type of something I hear is called ‘Alarm Shake’ to an extent that her ‘bobby-stand’ almost fell off. I am not sure whether she did not notice it or she simply decided to ignore it but she kept dancing so while her right breast appeared firm and pointed, the left one looked like a pair of wet old socks.
It got to a stage I saw Pastor slowly turn his eyes from the dancing girls, but that was only after his wife had caught him peeping and nodding with his mouth agape as the daughters of Eve gyrated their boobs as if they were made of an elastic material.
If you had been in my church, My Lord, I am sure you would see no need to continuously use your Viagra and the several other sex-enhancement tabs. The dancing girls can climax your libido.
My Lord, during praises time, the daughters of Eve simply forget they are in church and that the guys in the congregation are not fire-wood. They forget we have libidos and that the church is not a discotheque.
What made matters worse was when the Sons of Adam in the congregation decided to return fire for fire. They too, in the name of dancing to glorify the Lord, removed their shirts to expose their well built and muscular arms as they joined the Daughter in the disturbingly wild dance.
They explained that somewhere in the bible, King David was reported to have danced naked or semi-naked before the Ark of the Lord, and that unto the pure all things are pure; but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.
It is a serious matter My Lord and I am getting very scared about it and that explains why I have brought the matter before this honourable court for you to decide at what stage dancing becomes a sin.
The church has gone hi-tech in recent times and there is absolutely no difference between the type of dance that that goes on at the night clubs and in the church. They are both wild, dangerous and can raise a man’s libido.
I even hear there is a debate among the clergy on whether the ‘Praise and Worship’ time is really used in honouring the Lord, or simply used to entertain the congregation.
Let me not drift from my complaint, My Lord: knowing the type of person I am, I did not join in the dance because I am a club boy and I dance with every part of my body; including my ‘kakai’.
I was sitting my somewhere in the congregation when one of the dancing Daughters danced to me and literally dragged me out of the pew.
“Come dance with me my brother in Christ; you do me I do you, God no go vex” she said and requested that we danced together to the ‘Glory of the Lord’.
Remember, My Lord, that I have confessed that I dance with every part of my body so I did not want to follow her but she insisted and because I do not want people to think I was ‘antisocial’ I obliged reluctantly and we took centre stage of the church.
My Lord, the chick was electrifying! I have danced with girls at the Aphrodisiac Night Club, the Montecalo Grand Cafe, Infinity, Boomerang, Rhapsody and the latest craze in town, Faculty, but never before have I met such a wild dancer.
She is a teaser. She is a freak. She is an orgasm propeller. Haba; she has that rare ability to ignite fire in an impotent man.
I did not embarrass myself My Lord. I stood for my rights and gave her the type of dance that matched the wild and provocative one she was giving me.
My Lord, the only problem is that as a girl, she had the upper hand because at worst she would only get wet and that can pass unnoticed. But is my case, the protuberance on my flap was very visible and I gave up midway in the dance because I wanted to prevent a situation where people would start asking me if I had peed in my pants.
If I may ask again My Lord, when does dance become a sin and why is it that the church has no dancing formula for what type of dance should be allowed or disallowed.
But never get me wrong My Lord, I enjoyed the dance and would not mind having another round every other Sunday...after all the spirit is willing to have a more decent and righteous dance but the flesh is weak. I rest my case for now.

SOME SERIOUS matters are funny my Lord but fact is a reputable international research organisation has found out that about 60 percent of Indian men have penises which are shorter than international standards used in condom manufacture.
In plain language my Lord, Indian men have shorter and smaller penises than their counterparts in other countries. The research even says that because of the kid-sized penises the Indian men have they cannot use the normal international seized condoms and that a special smaller seized condoms may have to be manufactured for them.
I hear men from France are the exact opposite but let me not divert from the issue at stake here
The experts say the normal seized condoms fall off when they are used by Indian men and that this is as a result of the small seized penis. Can you imagine a man walking into a pharmacy shop and asking to buy a condom only to tell the attendant that he wants a smaller version?
With your permission, may I read to you how the BBC reported it: “the conclusion of all this scientific Endeavour is that about 60% of Indian men have penises which are between three and five centimeters shorter than international standards used in condom manufacture.
“Doctor Chander Puri, a specialist in reproductive health at the Indian Council of Medical Research, told the BBC there was an obvious need in India for custom-made condoms, as most of those currently on sale are too large. The issue is serious because about one in every five times a condom is used in India it either falls off or tears, an extremely high failure rate.”
My Lord, I have a problem here; my ex girl friend is planning to marry an Indian and after reading the research report I started to fear how compatible they would be.
My Lord, I have heard some people say the seize do not really matter and that “it’s what you do with it that matters”; it makes me laugh because in as much as that school of thought may be true to some extent, it does not apply in this context.
Hear me my Lord, I said my ex, not someone I do not know; my own ex and if the court cares to know she is not a virgin. I have exposed her to some jolly good treatment and I can testify that she has a fairly good idea of what a man should be made of.
She knows that some men are more equal than other men because we fell in love way back in our teens and even then the condom was not falling off.

But if the research is saying that Indian men have penises which are between three and five centimeters shorter than international standards, it makes me wonder if Indian women too would have smaller vaginas since their men have smaller penises after all every lock has its special key and putting the wrong seize of key in a lock simply does not gel.
But my Lord, if despite the short seize of Indian men, the country has such a huge population seize what would have happened if they had the normal seize of the useful rod?
But my Lord, what is the difference between the Indian and the French. Life indeed has its inequalities.

NPP gurus face arrest

THE GOVERNMENT of Ghana has frozen the constitutional rights of New Patriotic Party (NPP) gurus and former government officials to have legal representation when they are invited to national security facilities for interrogation.
Lawyers who followed, Frank Agyekum, former deputy Minister of Information and Sammy Crabbe, Greater Accra NPP chairman, ordered to report to the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) for interrogation yesterday on separate cases were kicked out of the interrogation hall with an excuse that it was an ‘instruction from above’.
DAILY GUIDE gathered that Sammy Crabbe, who was invited through a phone call on Tuesday to report at the BNI, was threatened with arrest and detention because he insisted that he wanted to have his lawyer present during his interrogation.
Mr. Crabbe was also hesitant in answering questions posed to him because the issue at stake was before court. His action drew the ire of the BNI operatives who threatened to put him under arrest.
Contrary to Article 14 section 2 of the 1992 constitution which states:
“A person who is arrested, restricted or detained shall be informed immediately, in a language that he understands, of the reasons for his arrest, restriction or detention and of his right to a lawyer of his choice”, frantic requests from the invited politicians that they have the right to legal representation was turned down.
“The BNI claimed my client was not under arrest and that we were invited for a friendly chat but I, his lawyer, cannot sit-in to listen to what questions he would be asked and that my client can also not turn down the request for the friendly conversation, else he would be arrested,” Kwame Acheampong Boateng, lawyer for Mr. Crabbe, told DAILY GUIDE.
Mr. Acheampong said they got to the BNI around 9:00 am and were asked to see a certain Nii Lamptey who claimed that his client was invited for a friendly chat.
However, he said they left their phones and cars behind and they were driven past Gold House near Kawukudi.
The BNI, Mr. Crabbe’s lawyer said, told him that he was not part of the friendly chat, wondering if they were operating under Ghana’s constitution.
Mr. Acheampong said after some back and forth exchanges, his client went in for about 45 minutes, following which he was asked to go.
Former Chief of Staff, Kwadwo Okyere Mpiani, was also denied the right to legal counsel when he was invited to report to the BNI recently. His lawyers claimed they were put in a room, four doors away from where Mr. Mpiani was being questioned.
Interestingly, though Mr. Crabbe was ordered to report to the BNI office at Ridge in Accra, he was on arrival shoved into a vehicle and whisked to another security facility where he was quizzed about the Ghana International Airlines (GIA).
DAILY GUIDE gathered that Mr. Crabbe was tight-lipped during the encounter and was said to have told his interrogators that the issue was before a court of competent jurisdiction, thus, passing official comments would amount to prejudicing the court process.
He has been asked to report for another grilling session next Tuesday.
Frank Agyekum, spokesperson for ex-President John Agyekum Kufuor, was also interrogated by the BNI yesterday on a GH¢86,915.85 contract he signed at the Ministry of Information when he served as Deputy Minister.
The said contract, which was signed in November 2008 after having gone through tender, was awarded to Plexiform Ventures for the renovation of the offices and washrooms at the Information Ministry.
Mr. Agyekum said he was interrogated in the absence of his lawyers, but the “chat was civil and cordial”.
However, his lawyer was allowed to read over his statement before they left the BNI facility.
During a similar invitation from the BNI to the former Foreign Affairs Minister, Akwasi Osei-Adjei, his passport was seized under circumstances described as unacceptable by legal pundits.

THE STUDIOS of Asempa Fm in Accra was momentarily turned into a boxing ring yesterday morning when Alhaji Ibrahim Bature, a close confidant of President John Mills and a notable activist on the National Democratic Congress (NDC) pounced on a studio guest and severely punched him with a couple of wicked and hefty blows as if he was a professional boxer training with a punching-bag.

Alhaji Bature was reported to have pounced angrily on his pry, Omari Wardie; former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairman for Ayawaso West because the later held a view contrary to his during a studio discussion.

Daily Guide gathered that if not for the timely intervention of staff of the station who rushed in to hold back Alhaji Bature, he would have inflicted further havoc on his victim.

“Your information is true, he gave me a combination of a slap and a blow and it was painful I must confess; not that I could not have hit him back but I am a gentle man other than that I could have floored Bature; he is not my match at all. You let him try it next time.” Mr. Wardie told Daily Guide.

Alhaji Bature, when contacted on phone to ascertain if he indeed lost his temper and assaulted a man in public, simply said he would not comment on the issue.

“I have no comments to make; if that is why you are calling me and this is what you want to talk about then I have no comments” was his response to the Daily Guide.

When the paper attempted to probe further to get Alhaji Bature to understand that it was just fair and proper to get his side of the story, he started to sound upset and yelled into the handset: “Halifax you must understand me I did not know that this is what you want to talk about that was why I asked you to call back; I thought it was something else that I could be of help but with this I said I have no comments”.

Daily Guide gathered that Alhaji Bature got angry and started to beat up Omari wardie when the later challenged him to prove a claim he had Wardei that the government had relocated former President Kufuor into another office building at Airport Residential Area after throwing him out of his Ridge office.

“When he said Kufuor had been relocated and given another office, I made it clear to him that it is not true and that no such arrangement had been done but he got angry and assaulted me; it sounds strange but he did it” Wardie noted.
